Continue reading below at (3)!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PERIFACT, despite being 'big' on the product, is only a small player in the global market. And therefore an unknown to many virus scanners.<\/p>\n<h2>Solutions<\/h2>\n<h3>1. Reboot the PC:<\/h3>\n<p>Try reopening PERIFACT after rebooting the PC. This may solve the problem if the database was locked by another user.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Disable the external virus scanner (temporarily):<\/h3>\n<p>If you use an external virus scanner, such as(!) <strong>Norton, Kaspersky<\/strong>\u00a0or <strong>Avast<\/strong>, disable it temporarily and try opening PERIFACT again. If this solves the problem, add PERIFACT to your virus scanner's exceptions.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Use Windows Defender (TIP):<\/h3>\n<p>Consider switching to Windows Defender, the <strong>free built-in virus scanner from Windows<\/strong>. Windows Defender is less taxing on your system and is less likely to conflict with other programs. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Thereby, according to tests, WIndows Defender also does a very good job<\/span>.
