Ponto — automatically import bank transactions
What is Ponto? Ponto is a service that allows PERIFACT to automatically retrieve your bank transactions directly from your bank. You no longer have to manually download or upload bank statements: as soon as you click on the tab Bank click, the latest transactions will be automatically synchronized.
Which banks are supported? Ponto works with most major banks in the Netherlands and Belgium, including ING, Rabobank, ABN AMRO, SNS, Triodos, KBC, BNP Paribas Fortis, Belfius, and many others. A complete list can be found at myponto.com.
How does the clutch work? The first time, you click on Connect to Ponto in the Bank tab. You will be redirected to your bank to give one-time permission. After that, PERIFACT will log in automatically; you will not need to repeat this.
How much does it cost? Ponto charges you, the user, directly through their own subscription. The current costs are €4.00 per month (excluding VAT). You will set up an account yourself via myponto.com You pay for that too. PERIFACT itself does not charge extra for this connection.
Is it mandatory? No. Ponto is completely optional. If you don't have a Ponto account, you can continue to manually import bank statements as usual via the CAMT or MT940 format.
Safety The connection with Ponto goes through a secure, government-recognized PSD2 link. PERIFACT never stores your bank details; only the imported transactions are kept in your own local database.
